I would say your lamp is quite full since your are here magnifying His name, while others are out shopping at Macy's. I am sorry for your troubles with your son. We are all in the same boat with Noah and everyone who are forever trying to resolve Adam and Eve's foul up and living thru the baptism of fire for it. But troubles are a blessing, because each victory separates a little more chaff and we get deeper into the sweet sweet grain of life. Satan want's us to magnify our past, our problems, our physical needs, our finances and forget God. This is a problem I deal with constantly. He fooled Adam & Eve into focusing on the physical and forgetting about the spiritual. When we focus all on God and magnify him, all those problems getted resolved. I think that's why America was so blessed, because of the incredible faith of the pilgrims. God gave an incredible strength to the rag tag bunch of minutemen to defeat the Kings army - AMEN!?, just as he gave Israel in so many battles. America is quite different now and I think is in for quite a baptism of fire. Let's pray to keep the faith of Noah and thank HIM that we are lucky enough to get a shot at a ride on the boat. Dear Jane: Mat 4 8:9 " Again the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain and sheweth Him the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them and saith to Him, all these things will I give thee if thou wilt fall down and worship me." The first thing to ask is are the kingdoms of the world satan's to deliver, hollywoood, wall street, zurich, nbc, cbs, publishing centers, media centers. Yes they are. Nowhere did Christ doubt satan's ability to deliver these things to Him. There was no argument. In my spirit, I feel what I am about to say is from the Lord himself. This Christmas season has taken the world by storm. The world , including myself to an extent, is looking at the Hong Kong market, Saddam Hussien, Japan, Wall Street ect.. Christian Investors are trembling with fear at the prospect of a global crash, another "29" . There are some pulling everything out of the markets, going into cash. I ask myself why.? You may believe in the rapture, may not. Either way, so what ? If some global cataclysmic disaster strikes cash isn't going to do you any good, any more than stocks or bonds. If you believe in the rapture you won't be here to see it. If you don't believe in the rapture then a global collapse will wipe out all computer memory and what will you have to show for it. I firmly believe that a nuclear war would wipe out all memory in computer data bases because of the electromagnetic disturbances in the atmosphere. My counsel has been therefore, if you don't own some buy a little gold right now, or a few mining stocks but definitely own some gold in your posession. The rest of your wealth keep it working, for the glory of God. As the Lord blesses you return to His kingdom. Find the fertile soil. The days are short and it is going to take a lot of effort time and finances to win souls for the kingdom. Keep the faith where your finances are concerned. Give the Lord glory in every area of your life including your finances. Give to your local church, support productive ministries, missionaries ect. Don't bail out , don't give up , you are not going under you are going over. We are going to win this world for Jesus Christ. In Christ..gregor
