Can't disagree with most points you made except your comparing an investment loss in the rare industry (like coal) that has performed poorly under Obama in part to WH executive orders to the house of cards economy that collapsed under GWB on a wide scale to almost topple us into great depression 2 is intellectually dishonest. The Obama years have been anything but socialism for big business and the investor class when looking at the big picture. Crony capitalism and financial engineering seem to have been in vogue ever since Reagan arrived on the scene.. At this point is shocking American's at the middle end and higher have yet again bought into overconsumption as if 2008 was a distant blur. Now Yellen, Fisher and friends will figure out a way to get everyone else back in that game by getting around Dodd Frank. Worry when too many Americans control to many assets without any skin in the game yet again.
