MM, IMO, the absolute best way to have quality societies with happy and healthy people is education. There is simply no substitution for people learning how to think.

Learning history so they know what preceded them e.g. why habeas corpus is so important, learning logic so they know how to organize their ideas, learning psychology and philosophy so they can understand people and ideas and learning science so they know how to quantify things and what is real and what is not.

I guess you saw where that Republican senator in one of the southern states just said": "as we all know they don't mine coal on mars and our temperature is the same as theirs".

He is a climate denier-good lord-lol! He is certainly not fit for public office.

And most importantly just learning how to learn and how important it is to learn e.g. most people, way too many people don't read, and don't study the universe they live in but just float down the river of life in a two dimensional world, when a multi dimensional abstract world awaits them if they try and learn to see it.

We all know democracy works best in an educated society.
