Looks like more competition for VSGN ORB I don't think the technology is the concern here - it's nothing that special, I am told - but the following excerpt from the article is somewhat more significant... "In addition, Iona's ORB has been popular among corporations, while a competing ORB by Visigenic Software Inc., which is in the process of being acquired by Borland International Inc., of Scotts Valley, Calif., had been the choice of ISVs." Iona has a head start in "addressing the enterprise", while Borland will need to work pretty hard to keep those ISVs, who signed up originally with an independent vendor. david
