"The liberals were being completely manipulated" by Obama as he was implementing Reaganesque policies. They're not letting him get away with it anymore. No more "I'll get the Dems to agree to CPI", or "I'll get the Dems to extend Bush tax cuts for 2 years if you promise to call them the "Obama tax cuts". No more "I'll make Dems follow me into war." I think, or at least hope, we've reached the point where Obama consults with the Dems before the fact, instead of telling them what they must support cuz he came to an agreement with the R's.
