<<I've been doing a bit of digging in the 8K outlining the merger agreement tonight. I'm beginning to think the problem with the delay in the infusion of the $5million equity is due to the stock price declining.

The merger agreement says nothing of the number of shares to be issued for the $5million but the initial announcement of the agreement said "up to 2,500,000" shares......that's when the share price was above $2. Now the price is down around $1 which would imply that around 5,000,000 shares need to be issued.

The potential investor must be looking at how dilutive this issue is becoming. The company is caught in a sort of catch 22 situation IMO.>>

Why don't you guys go back to my post (above) and tell me where I am wrong instead of attacking my character.....you will gain alot more respect.....at least from me.

Joe,
It's more revealing what they 'say' (.). In the final hours at IOM we hear resident shorting broker Joel Sternberg saying the following;

To All:

This is another tidbit that I have heard on the street, so to speak.
I heard that the agreement with Seagate was canned by Shugart because he
was tired of being dicked around. He figured Iomega needed him a lot
more than he needed them. I guess Iomega finally crapped on the wrong
person. The exalted KE must have mistaken Al Shugart for a stockholder.
Why believe me, though, when you can get the word from KE, ugh, I mean
KE's hired mouthpiece at the PR firm?

Brian, whether short covering is good or bad is a matter of opinion. On
the one hand, if you were counting on a huge short squeeze driving the
price way up, it is bad. On the other hand, if even the shorts are
starting to cover some of their position (and I emphasize some, not
all), then Iomega might be approaching something that even they consider
to be a reasonable price. While I have heard, like you, that they
consider the proper price to be around $6, I have been told that, given
the present environment, holding out for something below $12-$15 on the
downside might be fraught with too much. Unlke some longs, short sellers
do want a risk premium for bearing risk, and in the case of Iomega there
is a lot of risk on both sides.
