It has no relevance or logic. I am an American first. This is an American issue, not a states issue. I hear stuff like that all the time e.g. I am sure you would not mind adopting one etc. I see that type of illogical thinking all the time. Where is the logic you are using to say: I am sure you would not mind using Alaska's permanent fund? I do not mind at all using American money and am willing to pay higher taxes. And I pay high taxes now. We have laws about taking in refugees. These are refugees from crime ridden countries. If you return them they might be killed. And regardless of how you felt about Reagans amnesty, he did it and the pubs said nothing. That is the point! The pubs never say anything when pubs do it, like Bush spending trillions on two stupid ass wars.. And If you want some of that permanent fund all you have to do it move here. We forwent that money so our kids could have it. It is for our kids. Other states could have done that. Why didn't Texas, Oklahoma or LA save some of that oil money for their kids? And it was a bunch of hippie liberals that put that permanent fund together fighting the pubs and oil companies every step of the way. Pubs hate big government and that was a huge government program---that has worked soooo well. we pay no state taxes and give everyone over a $1,000 a year and are in better shape financially than any other state with over 50 billion invested around the world. The revenue pays for all our social services and very fine schools.
