Some inflation or a lot of inflation? If we are to follow a normal long cycle, we should be going through a 10 - 20 year growth period before inflation hits us with a vengeance. So you'd want industrials and commerce before moving on to natural resource (stocks). Even if you expect modest inflation, you are still better off with the above scenario. On the other hand, if you think we will quickly bypass all other stages and move on to full inflation due to excessive liquidity, then dividend stocks will be of little help, you should just move with natural resources or their stocks.

PS In all of those scenarios, Detroit still remains a good bet.
