What I find strange is that you and most Americans can't conceive that Keynesianism could be at the root of the economic issues we face now. The real ideologues are the Keynesians who believe that there are no competing economic theories worth anything and that Keynesianism is the only theory worth listening too. What has been discredited in economic history time and again is Keynesianism. Austrian economics routinely explains the issues we face more clearly and consistently than Keynesianism. The problem is that Keynes' free lunch theories are very appealing to desperate people, who want so much to believe that money printing and endless stimulus has no consequences and only benefits the 99%. It's a fairy tale that you all want to believe so much, you close your ears to any truth that might call that into question.
