Hi Elroy,

Earlier this year a short hedge fund wrote a report on KMI (which was subsequently reported in Barrons) that KMI was doctoring the profitability by expensing pipeline maintenance through the LP rather than taking it through the corporation.

The gist was that KMI was inflating their profits.

The story created questions about the true profitability of KMI and the valuation of KMI relative to other general partners suffered.

At the same time Richard Kinder was buying large blocks of the stock KMI.

It was an excellent opportunity to accumulate KMI at a discount IMO.

I thought KMI's earnings looked good y o y yesterday.

It is a common short technique to short hard in AH or premarket after earnings are reported to more or less grease the skids.

That may be what was attempted yesterday??

Hope that clears up my vague statement.

Bob
