Sometimes that works in our favor....in an ity-bity way....have seen it when I put a market order in to buy...and get a slightly improved ppps. Yes, we get 1/100th of a penny better price than the market offer. But when we join the bid or join the offer, those same high speed guys are jumping in front of us, so rather than us getting filled, they are beating us by that 1/100th of a penny and we aren't getting filled. It seems like a major scam. If the high speed guys can enter orders to buy at $32.101 and get in front of our order to buy at $32.10, that bites. If they can put in orders to trade in fractions of a penny, we should be able to as well. Obviously the exchanges can handle it.
