I wasn't commenting on the efficacy of the iPad for some people.

Just the fact that upgrades don't seem to be as compelling. Again for the majority of people having an iPad is not a must. And even among those who have them most have them because of the convenience factor.

I'm not missing the fact that for some people the iPad is a compelling low cost computer that does everything they need.

On the other hand for many people the iPhone IS their primary computer. That's the case for my roomie. He has a Windows computer but its in storage and his iPhone does everything he needs.

So to sum it up iPhones and Computers are far more of MUST for most people. iPads are convenience computers for MOST people.
