Yeah, that's true, it's light years better than 20 years ago.

Nevertheless, why should an exchange allow some customers to enter orders for fractions of a penny but not allow retail investors to enter orders at a fraction of a penny? It's all automated. If the system can handle fractions from some investors, it can likely handle them from all of us.

Hell, make it so that the exchange favors the retail investor. Allow each account to enter an order in a fraction of a penny, but only five such orders per day. Voila, retail investors have the edge over automated trading platforms.

Look at how the travel industry has been changed.

Look at how your world has changed if you were a broker.

We DO want the exchanges to be profitable and exist into the future.
