The Palestinians FLED their homes to get away from a war the ARABs started. That is, by no definition, "ethnic cleansing."

I have made the claim, supported by numerous contemporary accounts, that the land was essentially unused. And that no one wanted it until the Jews were told, "Here's you some ground. Go there" by the international community.

No, it certainly wasn't. And it should have been if anyone wanted it. It would be worthless ground even today had not the Jews turned it in to a prosperous area.

And key areas, like Jerusalem, had predominantly Jewish populations. But even those were not densely populated (Jerusalem, when the Turks did an official census around 1850 had something like 15,000 residents).
