Low 40s. Wouldn't surprise me. Despite my buying back half of my position at 50.5 (having sold out early in week at 64).

Look at it this way. The S&P is only 3% off its week ago intermediate high. Naz down more than twice as much, don't have number in front of me. Many, many tech stocks off 20% plus from Oct 13 tech high.

Now what do you suppose will happen to tech stocks if the S&P comes close to retesting the Oct 27 closing lows again? Based on the realization that economists say S&P up 4-6%, analysts in aggregate have 98 up 12-14% still, Asia's gonna have pervasive multiplier effects that no one is smart enough to fully trace, but its gonna be much worse than just about any individual S&P stock's current estimates reflect, therefore sell until smoke clears, buy back when it starts too.

Such could be the fund psychology. Its why I'm half in cash.

That's the big Kahuna you gotta watch out for.

Doug

I am going to take a minute or so to let everyone know I won't be posting for a few days...I will bookmark posts though...too much work....

I think we have resolved a lot of questions so far.....GOOD DISCUSSIONS FOLKS!!!! Q&A helps us all.....

BEING OVERLOADED RIGHT NOW I wouldn't be in the best position to state whether or not QCOM is a 'screaming buy' or not right now....I honestly haven't spent enough time recently looking at the 'big picture' things.....

Based on limited re-evaluation of information learned this weekend from everyone I would say that QCOM would be a STRONG BUY recommendation right now....THAT IS LONG-TERM though.....I may re-purchase the long-term shares I sold tomorrow....as for a trading position, I won't do that since it requires more info and thought process than I have to give right now....Ie. I need to think more about it....

Thanks everyone for the great discussion...

P.S. The best 'value' play I have found currently is MRVC....If you want a networking company at a discount they are the ones to invest in.. They have no exposure to NIC (interface cards) since they don't make them and routers (they don't make those either). Their strength is in HUBS, SWITCHES, and Fiber optic transmission components....CHECK THEM OUT FOLKS....they are a low cost producer which is big during times of uncertainty.....Growth rate, annually, as of last Q was 90% selling at a trailing P/E of 24.4. Their gig products and Layer 3 R&D should become fruitful next year....GREAT LONG-TERM INVESTMENT...NOT HYPE, just an idea for those looking for good investments...DO YOUR DD and I'm sure you will be happy....
