Your view of the present is misinformed:
None of those articles are very relevant to my point, which was that if higher iPhone 6 costs (should they occur) lead to higher premiums versus peer premium phones, the quantities of iPhones 6s sold could be substantially impacted. If anything, stories relaying the challenges other premium phones have had in this department is supportive, not counter, to this point, as it highlights the fact that premium priced phones as a group have had sales grow more slowly than the broader market.
