Hi Barry,

Philippines, Korea, Maylasia. All three have dropped about a third compared to the US $ in the last few months. I still think any company with factories in those areas will experience much higher profit margins even with lower sales volumes.

I also tend to suspect that some companies are using Asia as an excuse to clean up some channel stuffing or in the case of Oracle just an excuse. From what I've seen news lasts for about 3 days. My guess is that starting tomorrow everything will be just fine again. Asian markets will be up. The US economy will be fine. The IMF will save the world, etc. Starting about Wednesday when the traders start taking profits, the news won't be quite so good.
