>> The Israelis are NOT negotiable when it comes to the settlements. The reason I was shocked when I saw that most recent WB map is because the Israelis had been saying for years they were curtailing settlement building.

Of course. They're still being attacked. They're not going to stop building settlements as long as they're under attack. I believe the leadership of Israel has said as much.

>> Because its not their land.

You understand the Palestinians have NEVER accepted the terms of the 1948 resolution, right? As long as they haven't accepted the deal Israel can do what the hell it wants to. You can't expect Israel to abide by the terms when the Arabs have refused to even acknowledge it is a valid deal. That's just dumb.

As I've pointed out, Israel has been subjected to war and terrorism at all times since that agreement was reached. What you are saying is that Israel should abide by the terms of the deal but the Arabs need not.

>> And so, there will never be peace in the ME.

That may be but it isn't because Israel didn't try.

There used to be settlements in the Gaza strip. Sharon forcibly dismantled them. Lot of good it did.

Netanyahu: I won’t forcibly evacuate settlements

Prime minister, for the first time, rules out any West Bank repeat of the 2005 enforced removal of Gaza settlers
