Gallup Poll: Putin’s Approval Rating Almost Twice As High As Obama’s…

Yeah, Putin is a thug, but he stands up for this country (despite being terribly misguided), while Obama works to undermine America’s power. So this is not surprise.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has something to smile about. Everyone in Russia loves him, according to a recent Gallup poll.

Putin’s popularity in Russia is at its highest level in years, with 83 percent of Russians saying they approve of the job he’s doing. That ties his previous high rating that came in 2008 — and currently is nearly twice the approval rating of President Barack Obama in the U.S. (44 percent).

Liberals see stuff like this and think conservatives are pro-Putin or something. What we like is Putin is a pro-Russian President of Russia ... we wish we had a pro-American President.

I'll agree with you to this extent. The simple idea of "cut taxes and the economy will soar every time" is simply flat out wrong. Lower taxes are positive for the economy, but sometimes the positive is rather small. Even a small positive, compounded over time, can be huge, but other factors besides taxes also matter and can swamp the changes caused by changes in tax rates.
