The general contractor was an Israeli and there were a lot of Israelis on his crew. We got to be friends and frequently would go to a bar after work. Israelis love to talk world politics so we would get into eventually each time we hung out. Well one nite the whole Israeli/Palestinian mess came up. I spouted the typical American drill......just like the one you spout now. And one of the Israelis turned to me and said you Americans are so dense. You believe everything Israel tells you to believe. Well I thought he was being a dick. A few years later I had to take a course on ME history for my Master's. Everything the ex pat Israelis had told me turned out to be true. The US has been scammed. How our presidents can perpetuate the scam is beyond me. There are no good guys in this mess but what is clear if there is a 'badder guy' its the Israelis. Sadly, they have become the Nazis of the ME.
