However, written statements from SCOTUS Justices in other opinions (dicta) indicate that it is not their job to go behind the "plain" meaning of drafted legislation (in absence of a written record of stated intent of the law in the congressional record) --which in this case would mean no subsidies for those who bought on Federal Exchanges if the Justices follow their own dicta on the issue.
