I agree with bentway, particularly about your posting, Alex.

Some of it is extremely interesting and helpful. But, too many times, you don't disagree civilly.

Calling people names, impugning their motives with bad caricatures, poisons the forum. It leads to more of it. You use name calling to disagree with someone and they then reply with such. Others get in the act. And then the forum is headed to the disagreeable levels that leads more posters to leave.
