Tomasso

I like Abelson but this is about the fifth year in a row he has tacitly agreed that DOW 4000 is not unthinkable. I, myself, think, however, that it is not unthinkable that this time he is right. <VBG>

Tommaso, yes I saw Barron's interview with Marc Faber with Dow 4000. A week ago Pete M. said my call for Dow 4000 was ridiculous-well I am in good company. I will show this to Pete. Actually, I think we will be lucky if it stops at 4000. It could easily get worse-reverse momentum but I usually don't say this publicly(don't tell anyone)because they think I am nuts-g- Similarly tell people you like gold -they cannot understand. That is one anecdotal indicator of a Mania when people say a 50% decline is impossible. Mike

Tommaso, you forget dear witty Abelson has been bearish since about the bottom of the 1987 crash, 4000 is still a good 60% above that level, he has been a relentless bear through the whole advance, not exactly the "guru" you would want to follow, even if one day he might be right, I'd take Granville instead, what is he saying nowady?
