and while we're at it let's escalate the problem by denying contraception through insurance to girls and women who may not be able to afford it... let's just create more poor people in the name of their stupid religion

The very rich can protect themselves in heavily armed compounds. The lesser rich will soon discover that the mob will be coming for them and that there is nowhere to hide.
I've looked for this during every riot in my lifetime, and never seen it. I hoped for it. The rioters don't know where the rich live, but they know the Korean grocer in their hood that overcharges them while treating them like criminals. They know where the electronic stores are that have the goods they want, but can't afford. Those are the targets..

Inequality is a worldwide problem. We see it in tribal and religious warfare in the mid-east and Africa. In the United States we will see it again in urban riots on a large scale in the not too distant future. The very rich can protect themselves in heavily armed compounds. The lesser rich will soon discover that the mob will be coming for them and that there is nowhere to hide. At that point they will be begging for a return to the tax rates that were in effect during the Eisenhower administration. IMHO.>>

Yep. The combination of over population and the rich using their power to rob societies (everywhere) of everything they can, has caused our social systems to break down. It looks to me like we will devolve into city states around the world, some very modern and prosperous and some very poor and lawless.

What is so frustrating is that no matter how much the plutocrats use the low information right wingers they never catch on. They just keep cutting their own throats, and ours e.g. voting against the ACA which they really need or voting against unions, or taxes on the rich. It is crazy.

Alaska's social systems are intact because of our low population and the fact the liberals designed both the important laws and the social systems.

I am reading California, the book Colbert made #3 on the NY Times best seller list. I like it. The author is a true blue intellectual hippie stoner who writes about a post apocalyptic California. I just started it, but she talks about the rich living in secured communities.

Gated communities are becoming the thing.
