Larry & All, Joe Kernan says MU expected to be .09 vs .07 year ago.
Now where does the .09 come from? All the sources on the internet
was around .18. If Joe is quoting .09, watch MU come in at .11,
"BEATING the street" and the stock goes up!!!
Another pet peave I have, is how the data is always inconsistant in the
reporting. Last Dec., the earnings was reported as 0.10 with very
little discussed on the .07 and .03 extraordinary income. Now in
Joe's comment, we are only talking about the 7 cents!
Wait til next quarter, when they will only discuss 18 cents, while last
March, and all the databases use the 66 cents total income
including extraordinary income.
It is hard for an investor (or trader) to determine true operational income
when data is treated as it is. BB's like this help keep some of this
straight.
