Jack, I went into the Talmud website. It is just a website where they try to sell you the books. And the books are so large and everything, that they try and also suggest teachers to help you study. What is the object of this evil pursuit? The Torah. The Torah is Genesis, Exodus, Levitus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. Apparently some Jewish person(s) has expounded on the laws found in the Torah, and as to how each of them pertains to daily Jewish life, with emphasis on the marriage relationship, and how to protect it from evil. There is not a hint of occult mystreries of any kind. This was done because some Jews felt that if this was indeed a "Law", then there should also be a Jewish court to assure that the law was justly fulfilled and people were not accused falsely of not keeping the law.The Talmud came about as a buffer to needing a court of law if the laws were so explained that no one could possibly not keep them. This is probably the reason Jesus had to come and die for the Jews. There is no end to what they have and will do to try and please God every which way but loose, and usually find it cannot be done in the natural man anyway.. Thus the Talmud was born. And has something to do with the Babylon captivity. Explaining the milllions of laws written by Moses, in even more rediculous detail than they already are. Anyway, this is what the evil document is all about. It is the first five books of the Bible made even more complicated than they are as a way of being able to keep the Law perfectly. Mostly it is how the law affects the immediate family, according to the web site.
