Pentagon expert: Getting rid of Hamas will only make things worse Lieutenant General Michael Flynn says that if Israel eliminates Hamas a terrorist group like ISIS could take its place. Not true if Israel "occupies" Gaza, for a very short period of time, and does not allow terrorist groups to set up shop. Israel has suggested that an international force could be set up to insure that Gaza would stay demilitarized, while all-interested-parties would share in the redevelopment and prosperity of the NEW Gaza Strip. It would not take Gaza's Palestinians long to enjoy having more individual freedom, access to an actual justice system, and significant trade and jobs with Israel, and peace, which they did not have, and would never have under Hamas.
