You think so because your frame of reference is somewhat shifted. In years past we have not had the economy to the depths we saw when Bush was leaving office. So relatively we have a bigger climb to full recovery. simple laws of physics. The deeper you are in a hole with the pace of recovery remaining the same, the longer it take to come out of the hole.

Well, we've had full on Keynesian policies for 5 years and it has resulted in the worst economic recovery in the history of the US. The economy has given its verdict and it is that Keynesianism is a one way trip to the poor house for this country.

You're forgetting the Great Depression, and prior bank failure depressions, which were common before the Fed. We just experienced the greatest management of a banking financial crisis in human history.

You've been spoilt your life, you don't understand how bad things can get. So you don't even perceive when you've been very fortunate. Like so many other people in this country. "Me Me Me". Jeez... zero respect for the institutions that made you so comfortable. It's an epidemic.
