Re the water fast 21-24 lbs was lost for the 21 day period each time I have done one..

I used to be able to do a 1 hour workout on the Nordic track for the 21 days and with the equipment at full elevation and high resistance. I wear a Polar Heart Monitor to keep an eye on heart rate. I would not get beyond 160-165 heart beats per minute. My maximum is 187. This time I will not do such not because I can't do so physically but because the pulsating around where the bone flap was re installed is uncomfortable. Feels like the side of the head wants to pop off.

The only glitch I ever experienced with a water fast and no food at all, would be the first couple of days a slight head ache. Once that passed that there was no concern.

The biggest annoyance I ever experienced was from those close who were worried I would harm myself.

The your going to this...or that...this can happen, that can happen.

Nah...

The only thing that happened is I gave my system a deserved rest.

One of the benefits is one becomes very aware as time passes.

That's it and as always it's something I do and for me. Not for any other to do.

===> "I went on a diet for three weeks and I lost 21 days...<g>" <===

I had to reduce calories due to Insulin Resistance (pre Diabetes) and Heart Failure. I selected a frequent eating, low calorie, low glycemic, healthy diet in which I eat 6 meals a day of 200 calories per meal (1200 calories total). I went from 180 pounds down to 120 pounds fairly quickly.

Too extreme, and too little calorie, for most, but the frequent eating "trains" the metabolism so that it doesn't need to store fat, IMHO.

Just thought that I would add my useless tidbit of info to the conversation. :)
