>5% inclusion rate? Hah<

Actually cRock! the rate is over 10% and climbing when you look at Zip sales versus new computer sales. Well over 1 million Zips are selling a month and increasing rapidly. Last I looked PCs were not selling at a rate of 20 million a month which would give your 5% rate. PC sales are less than 10 million per month I believe

>>I was finally able to see an Iomega TV ad during the X-Files tonight. Looks like they finally coughed up the cash to hit the airwaves here in NYC. Unlike some others who posted here concerning the ad, I liked it. Sure they could have shown the product a little more instead of the big plane, but overall I think the ad was well done. The big computer generated "Zip Inside" or whatever it was at the end was good too.

This ad should help bring awareness to this popular low-end peripheral. But there are just too many obstacles to overcome in naming it "The Standard."

5% inclusion rate? Hah!<<

Rocky -

Maybe I watch too much television. I've seen the Iomega ad several times over the last few weeks here in NYC.

As for Zips "laughable" 5% inclusion rate in new PCs, here's a little chart showing the inclusion rate for some competitors:

Product Inclusion Rate (in %)

EZ Flyer 0
SyJet 0
SparQ 0
HiFD 0

In the meantime, Zip's inclusion rate is increasing, not decreasing. BTW, do you know what the CD-ROM's inclusion rate was two and a half years after its introduction? Less than 1%. Look it up.

Rocky

Just think how much fun you're going to have the last week in Jan.,when you have to go back and edit all of your posts to read "ten percent inclusion rate". Hah!
