Exxcuse me. What do you think that the #1 cause of NT instability is? How about feature bloat.

Billy boy gave the public what they wanted, a bunch of bloated features and they bought it, like I said, give him time and all good things will come.

Why will NT never be a credible Embedded OS? How about a bloated 1.5 MB kernel.

Like I said, all good things will come.

O/S 2 2.1 was far superior to Windows 3.11. But, IBM failed to market it properly. Plus they did not eat their own dog food if you know what I mean (which I doubt).

Marketing was an issue, but giving the public what they want is the most important one, Billy understand this better than anyone, if they want speed one day, give it to them, if they want bloated features the next give it to them, if they want a better browser, give it to them, if they want a more efficient embedded os give it to them - with time he shall conquer all, but don;t let him, after all you are smarter than billy boy, STAND UP AND FIGHT for what you believe, don't be a sellout to windows NT (grin)

My point was to demonstrate that superior product != market share. Billy boy does not know what the public wants. Check out Office 97. It is instable, and poorly documented.

Au Contrare Mon Frere, he knows only too well that you don't give them better if they want worse, and then if they want better ONLY THEN do you spend the time and money to give it to them.

Gates is a shrewd business man, witness his turning huge MSFT on a dime to become a major internet player. However, Gates is not a man of vision, witness his famous statement "the internet, what's that?".

OK, whatever you say. Who has the fastest Java friend?
