<People need to learn to learn. Why do you think kids from highly educated families, or rich families almost always go to college and kids from poor uneducated families often don't.<

No.. People need to want to learn.. My next door neighbors.. Respectable and quite wealthy. The "expected" their daughter to go to college.. Got her in to a "Liberal Arts College" on the Central Coast of California. She bombed out.. Spent more time surfing than studying. She doesn't want to learn.

You can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink.

The Government has provided and continues to provide Workforce Training to help elevate those that seek better jobs through education.

The "Do Nothing Congress" just passed, by a Workforce Training Bill supported by a widely Bipartisan coalition called the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. This bill was sponsored by Rep. Virginia Foxx (R_NC) and was signed into law just last week.

<A job is not the # 1 reason to go to college. The #1 reason is to develop the mind. A developed mind can do anything. <

I know lots of young adults with very developed (Bachelor of Science) minds living in the basements of the parents video games and on-line poker all day..

<And many people in the ghetto lack self confidence. They don't know they can do it. It is beneficial to let them know they can do it. To help them along.<

Couldn't agree more.. These are typically services you Don't find at your 4 year college.. But, more so at local government sponsored Vocational Training Centers.
