Gottfried ,Re:>>IE 4.01<<

If you download the new Msft. browser you will have to go into the control panel and click on the install new prog icon. Then you highlite explorer 4.01 and click onto the install button and follow the screen .

This will take you to the msft install site where you test the browser for it's componets .

I had to download the browser twice . Once for an update and once because I didn't get the complete browser . ( it's 19 megabites long)

Then download the desktop function . After that you click on the start button and go up to settings to activate the single click option .

The 4.01 browser doesn't have all the goodies , you get them from the Msft site .

Good Luck ,

Herb

ps,
I have 64 meg of ram & they say that this helps with the gpf problems as well .

Gottfried , Re:>>my cd rom & zip drive<<

When I installed my internal zip drive some 5 months ago it pushed my cd-rom to e: and the Zip took the d: position . No mater what I did I could not change it .

I have been experiencing my cd-rom in what sounds like a racing mode that comes and goes . So I e-mailed Mitsumi about it and they sent me their latest driver for my Mitsumi fx600, along with a test procedure , and after I put the new driver in my machine guess what .

My cd-rom took the d: position back and the Zip drive went to e: with no conflict and my cd-rom quit racing .

All my programs know where the drives are at and every thing is fine .

If any techies are reading this I would like them to comment .

Herb
