Q, I hadn't even heard of this replacement and still use the solar powered 'Secure Computing' device which always works.

I've been using the credit card-sized device for several years now, with no problems. It's easier to punch the keys on it with your finger nail rather than with the ball of the finger tip.

I find it helpful to memorize the codes (each way) in 2 groups of four so I don't have to refer back to the screen or to the display on the device. Works well. Never have had any black spots that you refer to.

I'm still using the one my wife thinks is a calculator. The big one in Exhibit 2 of your link.

By the way, my funds transfer issue was resolved. All I discovered is that often a delay has to do with being short a stock that is halted. I was short NEWL when it was halted. The hypothesis is that the account is flagged for extra attention in that case when a withdrawal is requested - and extra attention means humans who are much slower than computers.
