Tsutaya said it will also offer DVD software for sale.
Currently Tsutaya's Shinjuku outlet in central Tokyo sells VCR software
totalling around 40 mln yen a month.
Tsutaya's president Kazuaki Terao said "out of the 100 titles (it plans
to sell from the outset) Warner Bros will provide us with about 70 titles."
Tsutaya said it also plans to rent DVD players at its outlets.
Toshiba vice president Masaichi Koga said he expects the launch of DVD
software and player rentals will encourage sales of DVD players.
