So did the US - we had this idea that putting Hamas in a position of responsibility would curb their terrorist activities while they are busy running a city. Didn't work out as hoped. A one state solution would probably be best - make them all Palestinian-Israeli's or Arab-Israeli's. Those already in Israel are far better off and living and building lives. Anyone not keen on living in a greater Israel can relocate to Qatar or Syria.
