Is that the way you guys remember it or was I having a stroke?

In the 50's we wore "Bermuda" shorts.

Boots, black jeans and starched long sleeve shirts with a military tuck all year round...

Until high school, I wouldn't be caught dead in shorts. I was willing to wear knickerbockers (aka clam diggers) as a concession to comfort, but that's about it. I only started wearing shorts when cutoff jeans became cool.

Seems to me people started wearing shorts in the early 70's.

They stopped wearing hats in the JFK era and sandals seemed to come in a bit later.

I remember in the '60s....shorts on men were about as common as wearing a skirt.
