Maybe his sons can talk him into retirement. He is completely dishonest in his diatribes on Fox...

I have been really disappointed in Juan Williams for some time.
I met Juan a couple times when he and I were neighbors in DC. I suspect that he's just playing a role - he's one of the token liberals on the Fox All Stars, so his job is to defend Obama. He expressed the opinion that the public school system is a rip-off - he sent his kids to a private school in a storefront on Georgia Ave (not the most exclusive neighborhood in Washington and definitely not a prestige school. Tuition was about $3500 a year). His wife was a social worker who was involved in the DC public schools. She said she could walk into any 4th grade class and quickly identify the 10 year olds who would be in prison by the time they were 18, and that it was too bad there wasn't some way to warehouse them to keep them away from the kids who would otherwise stand a better chance of getting a decent education.

When I lived in the city, I was kind of a community organizer regarding education and often found myself the only white in a gathering. I was amazed at the conversations I heard in those meetings. There are fertile grounds for conservatives to recruit blacks if they go about it the right way - such as stressing that they believe black families are completely capable of choosing a good school for their kids if they had choice.

My liberal white friends believed that poor people were too stressed to consider educational alternatives.
I've always believed that conservatives should portray the anti-voucher position as racist.
