I agree with what you have said. Writing covered calls for example, provides safe income at the risk of giving up some profit, if your stock is indeed called away. And I agree that the reason most folks like options is that they have built in leverage (why pay the full cost of a stock when you can control it for a much smaller premium). You must be one of the 10% that makes money from the other 90%. I confess that I don't really understand roll overs. Perhaps you can explain them to me. It seems to be something you do when your initial idea didn't work out.
