Good question, with most of it beyond my ability to answer (a student of economics would provide better answer). As far as impact on "cost" of oil for these oil-importing countries, high inflation would be cost nuetral in the aggregate - although oil would be more costly in terms of local currency (due to further devaluation because of printing extra money), anyone being paid any of these extra won would be able to maintain their oil-purchasing power.

The concerns about the pipe makers is bologna.The steel mills are having the problems.The pipe makers are buying from the steel mills so no worries.Also,foreign pipe making it's way into the market is a snoozer too.Things will get back to normal soon.GD
