The Bushes started with a Clinton 150 billion surplus and after feeding the greedy military industrial complex for 8 years they ended with an additonal 4 billion deficit. They had set up the economic mechanisms to increase that deficit by another 6 billion after Obama's presidency. Obama administration has simply been working on reducing the the welfare given to banks and the industrial military complex.
