Hi Tim:Thx. once again for your insights .To us lay folk, Networking is merely the "transport of data (sync or async) from one site to another. If the transport of goods and passengers had equivalent protocols that resulted in endless collisions,lane and speed changes and resizing , there would have been an outcry. The Networking Industry on the basis of "cost effectiveness" seems to get away with it. I wonder why.? I am sure encapsulating the product in a tiny wire/fibre has helped to eliminate any desire of the public to get involved.
