Some times idiocy has no bounds - being captive to the chauvinist fever is denying the development and prosperity of a whole nation of about 150 million people because an ill conceived paranoid attitude

The Big One: Russia's Bazhenov shale

The West Siberian basin is the largest petroleum basin in the world, covering 2.2 million square kilometres between the Ural Mountains and Yenisei River, extending from Kazakhstan in the south to under parts of the Kara Sea in the north.

The region contains dozens of super-giant and giant oilfields, including Samotlor with 28 billion barrels of oil originally in place, and Urengoy with more than 350 trillion cubic feet of original gas reserves.

The formation contains 18 trillion tonnes of organic matter, according to the U.S. Geological Survey ("Petroleum Geology and Resources of the West Siberian Basin", 2003).

Bazhenov is estimated to hold more than 1.2 trillion barrels of oil, of which about 75 billion might be recoverable with current technology, making it the biggest potential shale play in the world, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration ("Technically Recoverable Shale Oil and Shale Gas Resources", 2013).

Haim, it's not Putin's conflict with Europe, it's USA's attack on Russia, in concert with the Euroserfs: <

Vladimir Putin's pointless conflict with Europe leaves it a vassal of China

Russian president Vladimir Putin has been obsessed with an imaginary threat from an ageing, pacifist Europe in slow decline, while throwing his country at the feet of a greater threat - China
> When somebody is lining up to attack, you either defend yourself or submit.

Russia has seen Operation Barbarossa, WWI, and the 1812 Overture, with vast carnage in each case. They are probably sick of it and think "Never again". So, understandably, just as the USA threatened war to prevent ICBMs being fired from Cuba, Russia is unwilling to have ICBMs aimed at them from across Ukraine or to be dispossessed of their Crimean military bases.

Victoria F-Bomb showed what the attack was about. The laughable whining about Russia interfering in Ukraine is hypocrisy on stilts.

The Prosecutie and Putin are sensibly defending themselves against barbarians like Yulia Tymoshenko and Victoria Nuland.

As I have pointed out, Genghis Khan's descendants will soon be peering over the border into Europe. Russia will necessarily make agreements or outright Siberian land sales to China. That process got a boost recently with the megaton gas deal with China which was declined by the Euroserfs who will be left out in the cold. Europe is going Islamic and Russia is joining China.
