Apple's weak presence at the Internet show sent a strong message. It was a predictable and preventable disaster. Perhaps to this threads credit, there is seldom speculation of the unspeakable <other> implications of Apple's housecleaning, missed opportunities, 'change in control' references, etc. So what if a 'change in control' does happen? What are your ideas on who/what/when/how and how will it effect our stock? Overall, the reviews of the Internet show are negative. This is an excerpt from Macweek: Third Parties hold Mac line at net show "...Many Mac-friendly developers, including Apple and GoLive Systems Inc., skipped the show. Even Apple subsidiary Claris Corp. demonstrated its wares on Windows machines. One staffer at the Qualcomm Corp. booth, whose Eudora e-mail program was originally written for the Mac, said, "It's been a very Windows show." Show attendee Chuck Feldman, vice president of business development at Intelligent Information Inc. of Stamford, Conn., said, "Apple's absence in everything is what the future holds for Apple." By contrast, Feldman, a former Mac user,commended the breadth of development tools being shown off at the expo.
