Jeremy,

There are always "better stocks" out there, depending on who you talk to. But just how many can you follow with any confidence. I am not a stock market professional and I have trouble following more than 5 or 6.

Bob has his limits too. He often replies that "he does not follow that fund (or stock)". Bob is looking for companies that have great upward potential from the "second generation" of the computer boom. That is, companies that either apply computer technology to a business application..or a company that makes a better component for the computer business.

If you had to choose a market sector to follow, this one has great potential. You can follow the dogs of the Dow if you want..and you can undoubtedly find one with better fundamentals than UTEK. But if you listen to Bob carefully, you will recognize that he is recommending stocks that he has personal knowledge of the company's upward potential. I assume he knows several people on the Board of Directors and perhaps other inside information.

It is this insider information that allows him to fully understand a stock's potential; not just a quick review of the current financials that drives his recommentations. Why don't you call up UTEK and have a little conversation with someone working in the CFO's office. Be prepared to ask some hard questions. I have done this with other stocks and the feedback you get is quite valuable.

But this is the kind of homework Bob must do..otherwise his recommendations would not prove so insightful..both in bull and bearish markets.
