Back to 1953-54, stop Ike from giving the Dulles brothers the OK to interfere in Iraq and Vietnam (among other places--those were just the most consequential cases). Kick their asses and their attitudes out of govt forever. Of course the problem is that they were just a part of the crazed "commie" fear that was sweeping the country at the time.

If we could have prevented WWI, that would have changed everything. No USSR, no Hitler.

We had our tail between our legs and were trying to pretend the end of the Viet Nam war was a win. The economy - heading for the toilet. The recession that started in 1973 lasted until 1975. And beside while you might have liked 1973, I'm thinking your parents didn't as their kids were having free sex and doing drugs. And besides the cell phones were awful!
