Just because China and Russia do something, if they are, doesn't mean we should. Things like this are "prestige" projects built to show the world how "modern" they are. I doubt HSR makes sense in those countries either, though I don't know if their land costs are high .. they may be able to just seize whatever land they want. And they may have lots of cheap labor and no environmental worries. Was company a Freudian slip? I don't get the Freudian slip thing ..it was just a typing mistake. If you rode the trains, you would know that Obama has a lot to show for the $11B. So tell what's new and better you've observed since 2009. Where did you ride a train?
