Tom Steyer: If we kill Keystone, we will have a carbon tax

Posted on Aug 7, 2014

The environmental radical, Democrat money man and hypocrite that Harry Reid is beholden to, Tom Steyer, referred to the fight against the Keystone pipeline as a “Pearl harbor moment” at Berkeley in 2013 and said if they can kill the Keystone pipeline then a carbon tax is a ‘given’:

But the biggest thing about Keystone is we have to make a change. We have to make a decision to do something different. We’re not doing this secretly. It’s not like we’ll do a few good things, and ok we’ll do a few bad things. We have to make a deliberate decision to do the right thing.

And if we do that, that will be – oh we’ll end up with a carbon tax or we’ll end up with some control of carbon. That’s a given.

But the question is at what point do we decide we’ve had our Pearl Harbor moment?

Steyer became a billionaire financing expansion of world coal production by 70M tpy. No one really thinks his adoption of the green idealogy is sincere.

"You would think that..."
Given my own choice about what I would think, I would think he spent about 10% of what he should have, and he's not moving fast enuf.
