Authoritarianism in the US is increasingly garbed in sheep's clothing. It is complex and therefore not easily defined The NSA, the rule by presidential fiat, the Patriot Act, the gradual loss of privacy and self-determination, the utter obeyance to financial interests, etc., does not need a Strong Man. A meek, weak, foolish man like O! will do just fine. A weak, foolish, paid-for and rabidly partisan legislature will do fine, too.
