Well, the world's opinion doesn't matter too much to the Israelis as long as they are getting rockets fired at them all the time. If Hamas said they'd give up all their weapons and accept Israel's "right to exist", then the borders with Gaza would open up and money would pour into Palestinian communities in BUCKETS. Hamas doesn't want that though, just as Arafat didn't want that. Those guys don't know anything but fighting and if the fighting stopped they'd be useless and lose their reason for being. Who respects a guy that knows nothing but using a gun if he doesn't have a gun anymore?
